How to classify the road roller
First of all, from the overall shape, the road roller is divided into two categories: steel wheel type and tire type.
The second is to classify according to the mill wheel, the structure of the mill wheel includes light mill, groove mill and sheep foot mill. However, the application of light mill is the most common, and it is mainly used for pavement surface compaction. The use of mechanical or hydraulic transmission, can concentrate on compacting the protruding parts, compaction flatness is also relatively high, suitable for asphalt pavement compaction operations.
Then there is the classification according to the axle, according to the axle layout, there are single-axle single wheel, double-axle double wheel, double-axle three-wheel and three-axle three-wheel. Mainly driven by internal combustion engine, mechanical transmission or hydraulic transmission. This type of machinery is generally front wheel steering, good maneuverability, and the rear wheel is responsible for driving. In order to improve steering and rolling performance, it is more suitable for articulated steering structure and all-wheel drive. The front wheel frame and frame articulation are designed to reduce the oscillation of the fuselage on uneven roads. The rear wheels and frame are rigidly coupled. Hydraulically operated, hydraulic cylinders are used to control steering. Both the front and rear mill wheels are equipped with scrapers to remove the bond from the mill wheels. It is also equipped with a water spray system for compacting asphalt pavement and sprinkling water on the mill wheels to prevent the asphalt mixture from adhering. In order to increase the force, iron, sand, water and other items can be added to the mill wheel to increase the pressure of the machine.
